ABOUT SLEEP OUT

It is a 12-hour event held from 10am - 10pm which raises money for the City of Oxnard Homeless situation. The event is held to symbolize a Homeless person's long battle with Homelessness and lack of housing by a team-based event involving continuous walking intermixed with lots of fun activities such as the opportunity to participate in challenges. However, it also comes with a very important message - that together we can fight back against Homelessness and homeless situations, such as lack of housing, Addiction, Mental Health, and numerous other reasons society if forced into homelessness. We also have a Luminary Ceremony, where everyone can reflect on their life, and how homelessness may have touched them somehow. But most importantly, everyone is fundraising money for Homeless resources to work towards creating a permanent funding source for our cities' fight against homelessness! In a fundraising, recruitment event, held at Plaza Park- Downtown Oxnard  Saturday September 28 th 2024!
